Gardening Services

At Emerald Gardening we will come and cut your grass on days and times to suit you, using our own equipment. We will collect up the grass cuttings, bag them up and dispose of them for you off site. We can alo cater for grass that has become overgrown, using our heavy duty petrol strimmers ^Index

Deciduous (privet, beech etc.) and evergreen hedges (yew, cypresses etc) need regular trimming to maintain shape and density. Emerald Gardening will come and trim your hedge using our own equipment, rake up the cuttings, bag them up and dispose of them for you.^Index

We offer a General Garden Maintenance service that covers both 'one off' garden makeovers for neglected gardens, and we also offer a regular garden maintenance service which varies depending on the season, e.g. weeding and dead heading in the summer, raking up dead leaves, dividing old herbaceous plants and planting new bare rooted shrubs and trees in the autumn and winter ^Index

We can advise on the correct time of year for pruning your shrubs and trees, from roses to pear trees, and we will prune them for you, seal any larger cuts, rake up the cuttings and dispose of them for you.^Index

Emerald Gardening provides a full design service for landscaping your garden, from small projects to completely redesigning your garden. We can discuss your requirements for layout, themes and colours and can advise on herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees to suit your requirements. We use traditional pencil and paper for initial sketches and up to date computer CAD packages for final designs.^Index

Emerald Gardening will clear the site, removing all items which are not being re-used (broken slabs, old plants, turf etc.), and disposing of them off site. We then check soil Ph levels, natural drainage etc and address any of these issues. Then we re-distribute top soil, bringing in new top soil where required, to set the new levels.^Index

At Emerald Gardening we can design and construct your new patio. We will discuss your requirements, and can advise on types and sizes of slab, and patterns for laying the slabs. ^Index

Emerald Gardening will remove your old fence and supply and erect a new fence for you. We can advise on fence types, 'featheredge', 'lap', 'closeboard' etc. We will erect your fence using either 75mm or 100mm posts as appropriate, with caps and finials, and either steel pickets or concrete footings. We can also woodstain your fence to the required shade.^Index

Emerald Gardening will design and construct a new decking area for you, where you can relax and enjoy your garden. We can construct in Hardwood, softwood or composte. We will fit safety balustrades where required, and can also provide gates and steps etc. ^Index
